Car Auto Online - 2012 Toyota Prius C, The Prius Hybrid Hatchback Features and Prices - Toyota Motor Corp. recently announced the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for the 2012 Prius C. The Prius Hybrid hatchback will be sold starting at U.S. $18,950, and can be found at Toyota dealerships in Europe, the United States and Japan, in the next March.
As reported inautonews.com, the Prius C is available in four grades and will be equipped with Hybrid Synergy Drive engine 1.5-liter DOHC, 16-valve with VVT-i technology, permanent magnet AC synchronous, and a nickel-metal battery hydride144 volt that produces 25.9 hp of electric propulsion. The total power that can be ejected by the hybrid engine is 99 hp.
2012 Toyota Prius C offers three driving modes, the Normal, Eco and EV. Mode Eco reduces total fuel consumption with climate control and manage the gas pedal to improve vehicle efficiency.
In certain circumstances, the mode EV allows the Prius C driven using only the electric engine in the certain distance and speed, following distance of 1 mile and speeds below 25 miles per hour.
Prius C is also still carrying the 3.5-inch color TFT information display, with the ability of Bluetooth hands-free mobile, remote keyless entry and iPod connectivity through a USB port.
Optional devices include Display Audio with the Entune infotainment and connectivity system of the Toyota, navigation system and 16-inch alloy rims.
